Does your audience want to read your emails?
The short answer is: Only if they’re any good.
The problem is that we receive so many emails into our inboxes, that the majority just get ignored. You need your messages to stand out and to grab people’s attention.
Why send emails?
In many ways the answer is similar to the reasons why you should use blogs or other forms of marketing – it shows off your business and builds your credibility.
It’s also an effective way of positioning yourself as an expert in your field, developing your brand and building relationships.
A key benefit of email marketing is the cost (or lack of). Designing a professional email marketing campaign doesn’t have to be complicated or time-consuming. Sending emails to large numbers of subscribers is a lot cheaper than putting leaflets through their letterboxes or buying a mountain of stamps.
Of course, there are plenty of issues to consider – Who are you emailing? What is your message? What action do you want them to take? And the big one – How do you get their attention?
